A Gentle Shift: My Journey With Anxiety and Healing

Written by Carlena Menta, Medical Assistant

Anxiety. We’ve all felt it, but not everyone understands how heavy it can get. For me, it wasn’t just occasional worry, it was constant, consuming, and overwhelming. Panic attacks became familiar, and there were days I felt like I was just trying to survive my own thoughts. Sometimes there was a trigger. Other times it came out of nowhere, and that was the hardest part.I spent over a year in talk therapy and tried everything I could think of to feel better. When nothing changed, I felt defeated and exhausted. I didn’t want medication, but I reached a point where I needed relief and needed to function.

I’ve been medicated for a little over a year now, and recently I made the decision to slowly step away from it and try a more holistic path. Not because medication failed me, but because I’m ready to listen to my body and see what healing looks like for me now.I’m sharing this to remind you that you are not alone. I went through a phase of constant spiraling. I missed out on meaningful opportunities because anxiety kept getting in the way. I felt misunderstood, exhausted, and mentally drained every single day. It truly felt like a nonstop battle with my own mind.

My intention in sharing this is not to convince anyone to become a client. It’s simply to let you know that there are other options if medication isn’t the path you want to take.

The Regimen Club offers Vitamin D, B-Complex, B12, and Magnesium through IV therapy or injections. Vitamin B12 and B-complex help support the nervous system and stress response, especially if levels are low. Vitamin D plays a role in mood and emotional balance, while magnesium helps calm the nervous system, relax the body, and ease physical symptoms of anxiety and tension. After a consultation, they determine the best option based on individual needs.

Although I’ve only been an employee for a little over a month, I’ve never experienced such a close-knit team that genuinely cares about every person who walks through the door. No one is treated as “just a client.” Everyone is seen, heard, and respected as a person. They listen, they care, and that kind of compassion makes all the difference.
